Real Estate Advisory Services Director
Strategic advisory firm directing review of real estate and loan portfolios for institutional and entrepreneurial investors is seeking a highly motivated Director to manage client engagement teams, work with a wide variety of real estate clients to deliver advisory services, and lead business development activities on strategic and global priority accounts.
Responsibilities:
- Effectively manage and motivate client engagement teams with diverse skills and backgrounds.
- Provide constructive on-the-job feedback/mentoring to team members and junior consultants within the organization.
- Consistently deliver quality client services.
- Foster relationships with client personnel at appropriate levels.
- Drive high-quality work products within expected timeframes and on budget.
- Monitor progress, manage risk and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes.

Qualifications:
- A minimum of ten (10) years comprehensive experience in commercial real estate or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience, sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Consulting background highly desirable with experience in real estate, capital markets, finance banking, investment management in a consultant and/or industry role.
- Degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Management, Engineering, Architecture, or Management Information Systems and/or an MBA or MRE degree preferred.
- CPA, Lean, Six Sigma, PMP or other relevant certifications a plus; desire to pursue certifications a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; working knowledge of Microsoft Project, and Access. Experience with Argus a plus.

Internships
Summer Street Advisors, LLC seeks two (2) interns: one (1) for a generalist position to assist in all facets of the firm’s activities, and one (1) for an analytics position with strong Excel based financial modeling skills.
Both positions require candidates to be available for 10 hours, 3 days a week. These are unpaid internship positions, yet, college credit may be available depending on the requirements of your respective college or university.
Generalist Internship
Responsibilities:
- Assist in new business initiatives in the REIT industry
- Support underwriting teams with commercial real estate and loan valuations
- Develop financial models
- Perform commercial real estate market research
- Develop transaction database of distressed banks and portfolio sales
Requirements:
- Highly proficient with Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong presentation skills
- Experience with financial modeling
- Working towards an undergraduate degree or related work experience in commercial real estate, finance or economics a plus
Analytics Internship
Responsibilities:
- Support partners with design, development, modification and maintenance of proprietary commercial real estate finance models
- Support underwriting teams with database management
- Assist partners with loan valuation and underwriting due diligence
